Xekko are proud to announce that MyTracker Beta is now available.

The first beta release of MyTracker 1.0 is now available to download! Because this is a beta release, please read through the following:
  • There will be bugs and issues with the software. That's why we've released a beta to try out the software. Please report any bugs you might find.
  • Do not use this software with a 'live' forum. Although it's a fairly stable release (and doesn't interface with your forum), it may still have unexpected results on your server.
  • There will be an upgrade path between versions.
  • Only use this software if you're comfortable testing beta releases.
Known Issues
- If a user is viewing the tracker, their WOL status is "unknown"
- If a private message has been received, the link leads to an error page

Both of these issues will be fixed in the next Snapshot.

If you need any help with the software, please post a new thread in the 1.0 Support forum.

More information on MyTracker can be found on the MyTracker Homepage.

I think I found a couple bugs.

  1. You can't reinstall it without getting an SQL error
  2. When I uninstall/deactivate it The settings were deleted. Well, the category any way. So I have a MyTracker settings category sitting there that I can't delete.
  3. When I activate it after I deactivate it, the Manage Settings link in the MyTracker sidebar (in the ACP) doesn't link to the right settings link. Instead I get an error saying: No settings were found for the specified search phrase.

I would've used the Tracker here, but I didn't see the right category.

A couple of other bugs:

1. Where's the little AJAX popups?
2. Just to confirm josh's bug (no. 3) my link in the configuration sidebar links to settings 21 instead of 29. Confused

I'm still testing the tracker here so I haven't added a MyTracker project yet. Thanks for reporting the bugs though, I'll get to it.

Polar, can you send me a link to your tracker? The popups need both Facebox and jQuery added, so I'm guessing it's a slight problem with that...

And another thing in the original features you could switch between the traditional menu and the tab menu. Is that feature still implemented if so where is the setting?

EDIT: found a new bug. In the ideas section when you add a comment to an existing idea it goes to a blank page however it DOES add the comment correctly.

EDIT2: when you add an idea does it automatically add the vote? I know it should do and it is better like that but I just wanted to check Tongue

EDIT3: (Yet another update) When viewing a feature the link to the project displays as 'Project: YourProject' however on the main project page it is just 'Yourproject'
This is the same when you view an issue

EDIT 4: When you submit an issue it says 'Thanks for your idea'

EDIT 5: Could there be a way of deleting an issue and idea? I know there is a hide function for issues (that isn't really needed on ideas) but a delete function might be nice too.

If you read on in the thread, I noted that I removed that feature (just not from the first post in the thread). It's so there's better monitor resolution support (as low as 800x600).

Picked up on #1 as a friendly redirect thing, I think...

#2 - automatically adds your vote to +1. Obviously, you can't remove it as it would be a stupid idea to vote against your own feature suggestion! Tongue

#3 - It's meant to say Project: to let the users know that's the tab back to the project. It can be removed in the templates (I think!)

#4 - New Issue Language Error

#5 - the point of an issue tracker is not to delete anything... but there will be a future feature before the Release Candidate where you can delete Issues and Features. For now, you can just mark them as invisible.

Ok I have friendly redirects enabled so it might be a different problem...
There isn't currently an option to hide ideas/features.
