I was looking at my profile here on Xekko and I noticed that there are tabs for different areas of the profile (this is good).

Will it possible for us to add our own extra custom tabs? Like if you see my profile on my own site you will see that I have a big area for my uploaded items. It would be neat if I could add that as a custom tab.

I have a gravatar that I can use on sites around the Internet. I can post on a site and if I enter my gravatar registered mail address then my post shows my gravatar - even if I am not a registered member. Very neat IMO.

As a big part of MYNetwork (IMO) is enabling interaction with the web outside the forum walls then I wondered if you could make this Gravatar Enabling part of the posts module? And don't say what post module - thats the one you haven't made yet Big Grin]]>

Based on the information on the MYBB community forum I updated the Quick Theme plugin to 1.6 by changing its "compatible with" data from 1.4 to 1.6.

OK, I can't keep this under wraps for much longer. I have been working on Facebook Integration for MyBB and with lots of people asking lots of questions, here's a sneak peak. And yes, it works on shared servers - using similar methods that Invision uses.

As the link above shows, there is a MyNetwork Facebook application. This is Xekko Resources' own connection to Facebook that lets modules and features post things to Facebook. The integration goes into the Profile System - if you post a new status on the forum, you can post it onto Facebook too. Another use is when posting a new thread - you can post a link to it directly to your wall. Not to mention the ability to create events, a photo album or a new group with additional MyNetwork Modules.

In the above image (which is from my profile on Facebook), the first item is a new thread link (which shows an excerpt from the thread) and the second item is a status update. Oh, and it can also update to Twitter too. Of course, using these new functions is really easy. The code? As easy as this:

The main fundamentals of MyNetwork have switched from being primarily a profile system to becoming a complete modular plugin system seperate from MyBB's own plugin system. You might be thinking this is a waste of space, as MyBB already has an awesome plugin system - but when you think of all the plugins, templates, files and custom language things you add when you install a plugin, it's easy to be lost.

MyNetwork eliminates these problems. It mimics MyBB's systems - such as the Template System, to make sure things remain seperate while still interacting with your forum, and easily removed when you no longer want them. It doesn't only mimic - it extends too. You can add new template groups, create custom language strings or entirely new language files direct from your ACP - right down to creating new default templates. It doesn't only provide new features for your users, but also helps you get started making your own MyBB plugins.

MyNetwork Core v1.0.0
Please note that the Core Module and Features should be treated as being in a beta stage. Although all of these have been installed here at Xekko (a 'normal' shared hosting environment) and a high powered server enviroment for over a month on 1.6, and testing for longer (around 4 months) on 1.4. So, it stands that it's pretty stable.

There may still be errors in the software that we didn't detect. For these instances, check up in the MyNetwork Support docs before posting in the support forum.

You can also purchase a Premium Gecko ID, however there is no added benefits at the moment. The MyNetwork Core here will also be upgraded, and if there's no major problems, I'll be launching beta versions of the MyNetwork Core module along with the following features:
  • Auto Upgrade
  • Custom Language Editor
  • Move PM
  • Post Reputation
  • Post Tagging
  • Relative Time
These features will be fully functional (except for Auto Upgrade, which of course, requires a future MyBB upgrade!) with 1.6. For those who are using MyNetwork Core for 1.4, it's probably best to upgrade as there's plenty of new features in the Core, as well as new changes to the Template System.

Subscriptions
MyNetwork Core will cost 0€. That's right. It's free. As are the inital features that are available. Previously this was going to be a premium plugin, but to be honest, I can't keep the wraps on something this cool. So basically, anybody who is registered here is able to get a Basic Gecko ID. This lets you get your mits on the Core and some of the more standard features we'll be chugging out.

A Premium Gecko ID costs 7.50€ - roughly $10 or £6.25. Or in easy terms, the cost of a beer and a burger at Wetherspoons. This Gecko ID gives you access to premium updates, beta releases and the chance to get your own customisations on your forum to MyNetwork Features (as well as a few other little perks - such as themes and language packs).

It might not seem that much, but a beer and burger is gratefully appreciated!

Those who've already sent donations to help buy beer and enough cans of coke to build a small airplane will get a lifetime licence.

The MyNetwork Core here will also be upgraded, and if there's no major problems, I'll be launching beta versions of the MyNetwork Core module along with the following features:
  • Auto Upgrade
  • Custom Language Editor
  • Move PM
  • Post Reputation
  • Post Tagging
  • Relative Time
These features will be fully functional (except for Auto Upgrade, which of course, requires a future MyBB upgrade!) with 1.6. For those who are using MyNetwork Core for 1.4, it's probably best to upgrade as there's plenty of new features in the Core, as well as new changes to the Template System.

Subscriptions
MyNetwork Core will cost 0€. That's right. It's free. As are the inital features that are available. Previously this was going to be a premium plugin, but to be honest, I can't keep the wraps on something this cool. So basically, anybody who is registered here is able to get a Basic Gecko ID. This lets you get your mits on the Core and some of the more standard features we'll be chugging out.

A Premium Gecko ID costs 7.50€ - roughly $10 or £6.25. Or in easy terms, the cost of a beer and a burger at Wetherspoons. This Gecko ID gives you access to premium updates, beta releases and the chance to get your own customisations on your forum to MyNetwork Features (as well as a few other little perks - such as themes and language packs).

It might not seem that much, but a beer and burger is gratefully appreciated!

Those who've already sent donations to help buy beer and enough cans of coke to build a small airplane will get a lifetime licence.

but....it didnt uninstall properly for some reason.

so i figured a reinstall/deinstall might help.

did a reinstall, and got this error:

what should i do? it wont reinstall or uninstall.


also found this in the themes/default area; looks broken, but im not sure what it is supposed to look like or how to fix it.
