How is the time spent online calculated in the mybb profiles? Because i quite like that feature and want to add it to my profile page (when i get round to creating it ), but im not sure how to do it... I would just do it by the time people are logged in on their profiles, but some people log in onto their profiles and keep the site up in the background for sometimes the rest of the day... So how does MyBB do it then?

Uhm, to be honest, I can't remember off the top of my head so I'll hazard a guess.

MyBB checks against the lastvisit (found in the users table) with the current time in the session (sessions table) and calculates the difference. The difference is then added to the time online. I think there's a catch where the time in the session must have been in the last 15 minutes or something which stops the time spam.

There are people at MyBB who have it on auto-refresh every 10 minutes. Annoys the living hell out of me.

That sounds rather complex to do for me But if i manage to get everything sorted out with the simple things on my website, then i will give it a shot. Thanks Tomm for the quick reply, i may have a look in the MyBB files for this to see how they done it
