Found a bug in Post Reputation

← Suggestions and Feedback — Started 4 May, 2012 by Sha∂e

I found a little bug in Post Reputation module: when you delete a reputation given from Post Reputation plugin within the reputation.php page, it modifies the total reputation of an user, but the post keeps on showing the positive/negative reputation given before, regardless if it was deleted or not. And if you click on the link to show people who gave reputation, it shows anything (and this is correctly managed). Eg.: I give 1 point to a post of user X, then I go to reputation.php?uid=1 and delete my reputation given before. I finally open again the thread and the post I gave reputation to shows 1 point, whereas it would show 0.
Thanks for reporting this Sha∂e - I'll take a look at it. Smile
You're welcome! Oh, I would like to suggest you adding a "Recount reputation" section in preferences, almost for this bug but very useful in case of errors!

I tested this today - I discovered that if you do the following it will reset (if it helps at all)

1) Vote on a post
2) Go to users profile and view rep
3) Delete post rep
4) Return to post - yup - the post is still showing a count of one
5) Hit vote - count is now 2
6) Hit remove vote - count is now zero.

Interesting; it will probably mean I need to hook into the reputation profile and remove a vote for when a rep is deleted. This could be the cause of a bug @alvarorojas4 found that caused post reps to jump.
