There's still Facebook Connect, but integration into profiles will take a bit longer...

I'm not really a fan of face book - Will it be an option to turn it off? I have not seen many screenies/features on the profile system - any chance of a sneak peek at some screenies? I would love the profile to have more data about users forum activity....posts/threads etc.

I am a big user of ZingaBurga's Xthreads - which uses a different attachment system - how difficult will it be to customise MyNetwork to combine with Xthreads do you think? (I mean for me to customise it of course)

The profile system is a closely guarded secret as it's changed since last time I posted a screenshot. More info will be out soon but you can see what it was like in the MyBB development section.

It does focus on users activity more though. I've never used Zinga's plugin before, but I really don't think it will have a problem.

I looked at the screenshots - very impressive so far. A question - I have a small forum where members can upload items they have made for the Sims2 and Sims3 game. Is there likely to be an option where users can add something like "my favourite posts" with the pictures showing? That is why I asked about the plugin compatibility - ZingaBurgas picture attachment system is separate from MyBB Attachments.

I'm glad you like them - they've changed slightly but not very much. Those screenshots are with Facebook extras turned off, and the Profile System will probably launch without them.

As always, the MyNetwork mantra is if you don't need it, you don't have to download it. You can add Facebook extras if you want to, and it won't be necessary for the system to run.

The Profile System has plugin hooks just like any normal MyBB plugin, so it'll be easy to knock somethine together for you.

Excellent news - I know we are waiting for MYBB 1.6 here, and that queries on the release date of 1.6 are " it'll be ready when its ready" . So I will wait patiently. Good news on plugin
