With MyBB 1.6 in Beta testing, work on MyNetwork and its impact on the forum software is stepping up a notch. Part of this work involves testing out the newest modules and features here on Resources to make sure they are suitable for a shared hosting environment.
Part of this testing means that Resources itself needs to change to accomodate some of the new features that are coming in soon and instead of making dozens of small changes, I've opted to go for 3 big ones.
Phase 1 is to setup the new Xekko theme which is now the default theme here on Resources. This theme will be later rolled out over the entire Xekko site, albeit in another colour to make it look pretty. There's method to the madness really; it helps figure out if there's a problem with themes when a feature is installed as well being able to demonstrate how powerful the MyBB plugin system really is; this entire theme is powered by a MyNetwork feature and doesn't install any templates into the defacto MyBB template system - providing nice, clean and simple integration.
Phase 2 is to try out the new features. Unfortunately, Tracker 1.2 has had to be removed because it slows this server (doh!), but work will be done in the next few weeks to try and bring it into line with the shared environment. Coming soon is the notifications and the new Profile System, which does work here (I installed it earlier today!

) but still needs a little bit of work with stylesheets.
Phase 3 is a secret. Shhhh.
Please note that only modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE8, Opera and Safari) are compatible here, but if there's a few little niggles with another I don't mind fixing them. If you're reading this from the warning you see at the top of the page, you can switch to the MyBB default theme (if you're logged in) in your User CP (which can be accessed by clicking on your username on the top right of this page).
The theme isn't quite finished yet and there's some 'radical' changes to the layout in later phases, but if you notice any problems here on Xekko with the new theme, please feel free to let me know.
