It's with great pleasure to finally make MyNetwork Core for 1.6 available to the general public!

The main fundamentals of MyNetwork have switched from being primarily a profile system to becoming a complete modular plugin system seperate from MyBB's own plugin system. You might be thinking this is a waste of space, as MyBB already has an awesome plugin system - but when you think of all the plugins, templates, files and custom language things you add when you install a plugin, it's easy to be lost.

MyNetwork eliminates these problems. It mimics MyBB's systems - such as the Template System, to make sure things remain seperate while still interacting with your forum, and easily removed when you no longer want them. It doesn't only mimic - it extends too. You can add new template groups, create custom language strings or entirely new language files direct from your ACP - right down to creating new default templates. It doesn't only provide new features for your users, but also helps you get started making your own MyBB plugins.

Please note that the Core Module and Features should be treated as being in a beta stage. Although all of these have been installed here at Xekko (a 'normal' shared hosting environment) and a high powered server enviroment for over a month on 1.6, and testing for longer (around 4 months) on 1.4. So, it stands that it's pretty stable.

There may still be errors in the software that we didn't detect. For these instances, check up in the MyNetwork Support docs before posting in the support forum.

Subscriptions
MyNetwork Core and Features are currently free. You can download them by visiting the MyNetwork Resources area, and on the right, selecting the signup page and activating your Basic Gecko ID. You can also purchase a Premium Gecko ID, however there is no added benefits at the moment. If you purchase a subscription now, when a premium module is released in the future and you download it, the subscription will automatically be extended by a year.

You'll receive a PM when new Premium resources are available too.

Licence
Please take a second to look at the MyNetwork licence before downloading MyNetwork. It's pretty important.

Please note that only Auto Upgrade is not working - because you need a future 1.6 version for it to work!

MyNetwork Core itself doesn't add that many new features, but feel free to give it and all the features a whirl and test for bugs and things and report them in the MyNetwork General Support forum here on Xekko. For those interested in the Profile System Module for MyNetwork, it's currently in the last stages of testing.

I really hope you all enjoy MyNetwork as much as I've spent the last 18 months working and fine tuning it. These past 18 months have been literally life changing, so it's really nice to get something that I started a long time ago out to the public.

I happily accept criticisms and suggestions on how to improve my software - I know I'm a really lazy coder, and I do tend to have a 'just work, dammit' attitude to it, so if you see any performance enhancements in the code where you think it'll improve the software, please feel free to let me know.

Nothing happened...
I went to MyNetwork Overview, but nothing I can do. No setting even I just upload other feature, how to activate?

The Overview is like the plugins page - just click on the "Core" module on the right, and a list of features you've added appears (and their options to install/uninstall).

I can't wait to check out the profile system module.

Hmm, I think I have a problem somewhere here. It looks as if

1) My Network is SERIOUSLY slowing my forum - my ACP is like a snail to update now. It takes ages to open tabs.

2) there is a CONFLICT with ZingaBurga's Xthreads. Whenever I go to showthread in a forum where I have X threads activated - boom - the whole post vanishes and I get a line of PHP errors on my screen regarding an unexpected T_variable in inc/functions_post.php. This is a BIG problem for me. If I had to choose between My Network and XThreads it would be a sad day.....

@"leesester", absolutely feel free to send me your details and I'll have a look. I have a feeling its a shared hook causing the delays with a particular plugin as you're the only one who's reported speed issues - is it the whole ACP or just certain parts? Really it should only massively effect the themes area...
